SHADOW GOALS

SHADOW is an organization that encourages personal growth and success by providing individual mentor support, access to resources and travel opportunities for youth throughout the Twin Cities area.

Our goal is to provide youth in our communities a strong foundation and support system that will follow them throughout their adolescent years and beyond, in order to ensure a successful future.

Our Work

What we do

Incentivized Travel

We strongly believe in the importance of creating meaningful life experiences. Traveling provides opportunities to see different places, gain new perspectives and expand one’s thinking. We trust these experiences will help prevent at-risk youth from becoming a product of their environment.

As a part of SHADOW, individuals work with a mentor to create year-long goals, focused on personal growth and success. As goals are met, youth will have the opportunity to travel together, along with SHADOW guides and others who have met their goals.

SHADOW Services

SHADOW is committed to academic success and social-emotional well-being. Building strong connections with students and families outside of the school day is one of our biggest priorities. We work to identify areas in which our youth may need additional support and provide resources to families to help meet these needs.

Before being matched with a mentor, each individual will work with a program director to complete a questionnaire in order to learn more about their hopes and dreams, as well as interests and areas of need.
